Governance

Pratishthan follows accountable and transparent governance practices. Being a society GSP’s general body members constitute primary body of governance structure.

The general body members elect governing body that is called “Executive Committee” which is comprised of seven (7) members including office bearers – President, Voice–president, and Secretary.

In addition to executive committee the organization also has a Local Guardian Committee and an Advisory Committee to ensure effective transparent and participatory governance.



 Dr. Vithal Lahane
A Veteran Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Lahane is a veteran plastic surgeon honored with international Smile Train Hero Award for his valuable work to provide free of cost cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries to more than 4000 children in need.
Dr. Lahane is the president of local guardian committee of Swadhar Rehabilitation Center, Budhoda and has been activity involved in GSP’s endeavors for the rehabilitation of rural persons with disability from last ten years.

Mr. Harishchand Sude
  Founder & Chief Executive

Mr. Harishchandra Sude was a teacher by profession. During 1980s while he working in Pune city on slum rehabilitation issues.  He realized the need of interventions at root cause that is in rural parts of India.
In 1981 he founded GSP and started work in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state for the development of rural underprivileged communities. His ideas of development and actions are highly inspired by Gandhian philosophy.
He has expertise in community spirit building and spearheading community development projects for natural resource management, watershed deployment and sustainable agriculture.
1984 he initiated special rehabilitation programme for the rehabilitation of rural visually challenged persons and destitute children. With dedicated efforts of more than two decades he has developed an alternative comprehensive rehabilitation model for the rural persons with disability that is known as Swadhar Rehabilitation Center.

Prof. Vijay Kulkarni

Vice President

He is a Senior Lecture of economics at Master Dinanath Mangeshakar College, Aurad (Shahajani).  Prof. Kulkarni is one of the pioneers in introducing and developing Women’s Self Help Group concept and prompting as a movement in Maharashtra state with Chaitanya, Pune as a chief advisor and master trainer.
He has 30 years of rich experience in rural community development and building people’s movement for local development. Mr. Kulkarni has served on several regional and state level committees on as a member & advisory.
Prof. Kulkarni is associated with GSP since inception and is one of the founding pillars of the organization.

 
Prof. Datta Survase

Secretary

He is a junior lecturer at Navbharat Junior College, Kharosa.  He has worked with UNICEF as resource persons for participatory rural micro planning and participatory development. He is master trainer for SHG and women empowerment training programmes. Mr. Survase has 20 years of rich experience in spearheading social & economic development project and programme management. Mr. Survase has been core management trustee of the organization from last 8 years

Prashant H. Sude
Deputy Director

Mr. Prashant has done M.A. is Social Welfare Administration from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Prior joining the organization was working with Friends of Women’s World Banking, India as Programme Officer. He also has worked in UNICEF initiated programme Community Convergent Action-CCA for three years. Mr. Prashant has served as consultant to many development and microfinance institutions including Chaitanya, Rajgurunagar Pune, D-Matrix Foundation, Wardha, Kushi Vikas, Buldhana and more. He has experience and expertise in the areas of financial inclusion, microfinance management, institution development, and disability interventions, IGP and livelihood development and project planning, monitoring and management.
